SETCHAN, not looking for an update (though I would love one), but I am curious how you have information than my dealer or the ford customer service line. Neither of them even have the build date.

I just talked to the ford customer relations people on the phone today. They told me that all they see is that the order processing is going on and when I asked about the date you gave me, the guy said he didn't see that.

Do they just not like to give out the info? For what its worth the number I called was Customer Relationship center at 1-800-392-3673.

I love what you are doing here and clearly so are a ton of people on this site and others so thanks again.

 

My seller just got me this from his HQ. Sound legit?

"This truck is a raptor edition. F150's with Raptor editions go to an up fitter after production. This could take anywhere for a week to two weeks to complete



That being said, here's the time line



1- The truck will START production SOMETIME during the week of January 26.

That means it may START down the line on Feb 1.



2- It will take about 3 to5 days to come off the line so lets put that at about Feb 7.



3- It has to be inspected, and released for transported to the up fit facility. Lets give that another 2 or 3 work days, So that puts us at about Feb 12



4- Once it arrives at the up fitter it cycles in to the queue for the upgrades to start and be completed. Lets put this at about 10 work days so we're at

about Feb 25



5- The truck has to be sent back to the ramp for shipment , wait to be loaded on a train and then shipped to NC. The actual shipping time to NC is only about 10 days

but I can't tell how long it will take for a full load to build so the train will leave."

I am on a pretty tight schedule between overseas assignments and don't really know what goes into dealer prep either. thanks again.

wait to be shipped = could be a day or 2 weeks

dealer prep = couple of hours, if that long.....

 

Gotcha, I guess they are just giving me the worst case scenario.

I can't wait until I have the ETA! Pretty excited. I will check back next week to see if there are any updates.
