For My XL Brothers Only You Other Guys Just Move On...

Ok, I cant justify new wheels until the tires on my 09 XL wear out. 3 motorcycles and a motorhome are eating up most of the disposable income for the next year or two.

I was at the dealer the other day and they have a couple 09 XLs with chrome hubcaps. They didnt look bad considering what they are hiding. Ive seen them on ebay and I know a guy who has them on his SUV Edge so I thought I would give them a try.

Scheduled to be delivered on the 12th. $64 Before and after pics coming soon.

I was going to buy a set of those. I'm watching this one here. $57 and has the oval in the center cap.

Why not just paint them black? It would give you a different look and you don't have to worry about losing them. Just my 2 cents.

Ok Pineapple, thanks for the input but your not an XL brother. Black wheels just dont do it for me. My love is motorcycles, the F150 is just transportation when the weather is to bad to ride or to haul whatever doesnt fit in my saddlebags.

From a distance (a long distance) these caps look like the oem chrome steel wheels.

I want the 18s or 20s, I just dont want to spend the $ on them right now.

My dad has a '09 XL.
He let me ride in it and asked why I had a bag over my head.
I told the truth, "There's no freaking carpet in this truck!"

We were pretty close to the house so it wasn't that far of a walk.

I was going to powdercoat mine, except for the cheepo plastic center piece. As it is I'm leaving my snowtires on the stock rims, and getting some fancy smancy 20's for the warm months.

Of course you could probably just ebay/craigslist a new set of stock rims for pretty cheap and just leave them in the garage until the originals go.

Im seeing a caste system evolving here.

People see my 1800 VTX and ask why I didnt get a Harley. I tell that that I will as soon as Harley starts making big bikes.

People see my XL and ask why I didnt get an XLT. I tell them its like *****. Bigger is better but what shes got is doing the job just fine.

Well I tried to join the xl brotherhood today by trading in my 2010 xlt supercrew 2wd for an xl supercrew 4wd but the dealership couldn't swing it to eat my negative equity (something about not enough incentives). They did swing a trade for a 4wd xlt supercrew that will cost me less than if I got the xl. Go figure.

why did you try to swing that type of trade on a new vehicle already? thats pretty crazy in my opinion. you lose a bit of money when you do that. not to bash but you really should have thought about your basic needs/wants first before getting that 2WD.
