Bug Shield

Does anyone have pictures of a bug shield on a black truck with the chrome grill? Would like to see the over the grille as well as on top of the grille, found a few pics searching but none on a black truck, cant decide if I want to cover up that top chrome piece or not

Skip the bug shield and get you a clear bra instead. In addition to hood protection you also get bumper and headlight protection.

Clear bra is the way to go --but you have to be able to find a good installer, and depending on where you live that might be difficult. The only place I have reasonably close to me works on doing fleet vehicles graphics etc,and they are way to rough to work on someones personal ride.

I got the hood, fenders, mirrors, upper bumper and rocker panel done. The installer does some really nice exotic rides. They even did a full wrap on a Nissan GTR.

This is the product I went with: http://ventureshield.com/
Just do a search for an installer in your area. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself unless you have had some experience with this sort of thing.

EGR has a nice chrome one #393374 that is the same shape as the one I installed on my 2008 F-350 last year (see picture below). I'm thinking about that one or the Ford chrome shorty. Man, these things are expensive! Anybody have pics of either of these on their truck? Thanks.

Yeah Deer Hunter I was in the same boat as you I shopped a bug deflector for a bit. I looked at the EGR ones that go above the chrome grill but they just look weird, girlfriend bought me a AVS one for Christmas but the roundness at the corners didn't suit the truck. I ended up going back to ford and buying their bug deflector, definitely suits the best, follows the lines of the truck and the mounting hardware is pretty high quality compared to what else I've seen out there.

Anyone know which bug guard this is.....or have better/larger pictures? I'm looking for one for my truck and like the chrome one but don't want the "Super Duty" covered.....was leaning towards EGR Smoked, but if this is an EGR chrome I may go for it.....is it???

I go with the bug shield. Several people i talk about that had bra's on their car and did more damage to the paint overtime.

Don't clear bras cause uneven fading from the sun?
