Cant decide on what truck to buy

Well this would be my 3rd f-150 and i cant decide what i want to buy.

the first one was a 2008 Supercrew Lariat, rize 8" on 37's absolutely loved that truck, but i sold it because it was hit hard and bent in the control arm pocket

second truck is a 2010 fx4 supercrew, all loaded up, which was actually just hit by a drunk idiot in a bmw, didnt even have 4000 miles on her

I want to order another truck but i cant decide between the exact same FX4 i had, or loose the 4 doors and go with a Raptor. I like everything about the raptor, except its a supercab, do you guys with supercabs find it to be i guess cramped inside? my 2010 screw is MUCH bigger on the inside then my 08 screw, so i was wondering if the new supercabs are bigger then say the last generation supercabs? or if anyone with a raptor could chime in and say how they like it, espacially long distance highway trips.

It is rumored that there may be a Raptor SCREW some day... God, I hope so... I'd trade my brand new FX4 for a Raptor SCREW 6.2 in a heartbeat!
The only regret I would have about the Raptor would be the towing capacity... not very high as the suspension is designed to absorb whoops in the desert, not tow stuff.

I got a super cab fx4 and I have no issues with space, but I don't have any kids or alot of riders. If its just you for the foreseeable future then i'd say go for it.

I had a scab and now a Screw. I can't see ever going back to a scab. On the other hand, the Raptor is one nice beast.

The Supercab is the same size as the 04-08 Supercab. Unless you take large passengers regularly the Supercrew is more of a convenience than a necessity. The Raptor is F$%&ing sweet, I think it would be worth sacrificing a few inches in the cab to drive the most badass truck on the road.

Go for the Raptor, you may not have it very long anyhow.

i had s scab and the screw and i will never go back to the scab, not a fan of the suicide doors, they're a pain in the butt compared to the screw. i think the raptors are cool and all, but i'm not completely sold on them or the new 6.2 engine...granted it would be nice to have some more power but the 5.4's are bulletproof IMO and i can't see dropping 46K on a raptor....but i can see splurging and buying the heads and tails....

it would deff. nice to have the most BA truck around but it's all on your budget & what you want.. if you want something offroad then by all means go for it but if you need more room & crap to tow then id say an fx4 4 door & load it up on features... plus you also have to think that this will be the first year of the 6.2L so there's gunna be some flaws most likely..

Back before there was a Screw, my '97 and '98 F-150's were Scabs. I wouldn't want to go back for lack of space, both for storage and people. Also, the raptor didn't impress me at all, but if you already like it, it does have Upfitter Switches; plus you'd have one of the few out there as I haven't seen any on the roads, although I've only seen maybe 3 Platinum's ever on the roads as well and those have been available since late 2008.

I dont know what part of NY you are in but make sure the raptor will FIT. In Missouri a raptor would suit me just fine as I live in a rural area. Since I work on the road - it was a deal killer here in SoCal. I measured my space in the parking garage and the truck would fill it line to line - and be impossible for me to get out of. Same for most parking lots around here. I have an fx4 scab which suits me fine since I dont have many passengers in the back. I bought it based on how I will use if 95% of the time. Good luck all around.

parking wouldnt be a problem, i used to take my rize lifted truck to nyc frequently just gotta know where to park lol, the problem is my 2010 isnt totalled but its badily damaged and i am not getting the level of repair that it deserves, i had the truck towed to ford in hopes of being a 20+ year corporate customer they would do the right thing...bull**** in the end they are a dealer and just that. they brought the truck to a body shop, told me it was "Ready to be picked up a month later" i got there the truck had paint drips all over it, the rear end was still blown, the truck DOES NOT drive straight even after it was aligned, the first thing i told them was frame damage, and they have yet to want to put it on a frame table, this is going through insurance so im not sure what more i can do, ive gone through most of my resources but no one wants to actually admit the frame on the truck may be bent, and i dont want to accept the truck back without it being in sellable condition, because i plan on not keeping this one...i got two high milage fords a 1999 explorer with 173 on it, and a 2000 150 with 165 on it, and i truely believe that if either of them were hit hard enough to suffice replacing almost every body panel on one side, and shattering the wheels, that they would not run and have NO rattles as they do today....i feel like i would rather keep a truck thats never been hit for well over 100k miles, then try to keep one that was involved in a severe accident, because i can tell you right now, the truck doesnt "feel" right, the doors dont close the same, and it just feels more like a truck thats been on a construction site for 80k miles then a truck with 3k miles on it that should have been brand new sorry to vent just a little upset at the moment, and to make it worse they totally reaked havok on my interior they must have sanded with the windows open or something, then tried to clean it up with some cheap cleaner, just invision someone taking engine oil and whippeing it over every interior piece, the trucks got this nasty film over it...

but with all that said, i think i may just get another supercrew and part ways with my current one , the raptor would be nice but it would be on the street 99% of the time, because i wouldnt want to beat on my daily driver...i also feel like the raptor is nothing more then some body work, lower controll arms and different wheels, sure it has off road mode, but honestly anyone with half a brain can navigate with good throttle imput and brake imput
