mirror cap removal help!!

I did the research, found the posts' where you are to push the mirror in & down, then look for clips to unlatch. Don't know what I am looking for but nothing is jumping out at me, anyone have a little light they can share on this? My truck is a 2009 F150 lariat screw with heated mirrors. Thanks much,

Douglas

The mirror mounts onto the actuator thingy with a round sort of mounting bracket that has 4 clips around the circle - that help any?

On past cars, I'd push in and down on the bottom of the mirror, then get my fingers inside as much as I can for added brace and pull hard. I don't recall 'clips', per se. About 2 seconds after you're convinced you're going to break it, it'll 'POP' off the vehicle.
That was for 2 grand prix's and an Expedition though. I have no experience actually pulling our mirrors off.
