Hello guys, I had a thought on the subject of diesels and my next vehicle. I've got a f150 right now, but in the near future (3-4 years) I'm hoping to purchase a beautiful f250 turbo diesel. What do you think the chances are of ford discontinuing the turbo diesel engine? Personally I love the sound of the turbo spooling. And really without the turbo the diesels to me are kind of boring. Would you guys be a little angry as well if they stoped making the turbo diesels?

 

theyre not going to stop making them, plus the turbo makes the power!

 

Haha let's pray not. I would be vary disappointed if they stoped putting turbos and just ran plain diesels

 

Why would you think fords stopping the turbo diesels? Most of the new diesels sound pretty mild to me which is dissapointing. they are fast as heck but I love the raw powerful sound that goes with diesel. My 1999 has the 7.3 powerstroke and when mash the gas it sounds like the world is coming to a end lol....but seriously. nothing beats the sound of a 7.3 or the spooling of a 6.0
