I dont think he is. See the tires in the front of the trailer? That's keeping the weight off the truck. Tongue Weight on that thing would be killer. The tires are taking that off the truck. He's prolly slow at taking off.

If it's empty he very well could be well withing his specs. I highly doubt they'd be towing that cart if it was loaded - Good luck trying to stop.

My guess is it was just a quick solution to a highway breakdown.

I have seen this done here with empty pupps from logging trucks and they normally have an air tank in the bed with a compressor to run the brakes.

That's a pretty wild picture. I've seen some super duty's pulling some serious trailers around here, but nothing like that.

that trailer has air breaks and wont even roll till it has like 15 lbs of air in it to release the p-brake / safety brake. so he has got to have a on board air compressor to give him brakes and then some way to control it.

We have Timpte superhopper trailers similar to that and they only weigh about 12,000 pounds empty.

or they just back off on the brake adjuster so he has no brakes at all.
