2009 SD SuperCab 4X4 with 6.8L V10

I have found a new 2009 SD SuperCab 4X4 with 6.8L V10, AT and 4.3 gears.
How will the truck handle with V0 and 4.3 gears? What are the problems with the V10?
The dealer has quoted me what seems to be a good deal over the internet with a price of $26,000.
What do ya'll think about this find?
Thanks to all replys.

It will pull like a locomotive and suck gas like there's no tomorrow. It will be extremely reliable.

This is a brand new leftover truck?

Depends on the current mileage, condition, and options, but it sounds like a good deal...

Yes, it is new.
I talked to the salesman and it was actually sold but the buyer had to return the next day because the loan did not get approved. He said that the title work was not processed therefore it is still considered new. He said that it still comes with the factory BTB and drivetrain warrantys.

What are F250 owners seeing in MPG with the V10 and 4.1 or 4.3 gears?
My F150 with 5.4L and 4.1 gears average about 13 to 14 MPG.

Sticker says $34,610
I've uploaded a few pictures of to my album.
It appears to a work truck with just a few options.

Great deal if it is what you are looking for... the gas mileage will not be super though, but tolerable if you are used to trucks.

Go for it - The V10 is a great, relaible, powerful motor - and with the 4:30 gears...it will do whatever you need her to do! Mileage in mine is 10mpg city / 13 mpg hwy. Towing about 10k lbs will lower those numbers about 2 mpg.

Seems to me hwm3 gets between 7 and 8 mpg towing his bigass horse trailer. I talked to a guy at a gas station once with a V-10 4x2 and he said if he kept the speed down and kept his foot out of it, it got about 14 in mixed driving.

I would go for it! That V10 will be quite desirable going forward, since it won't be available except in the cab/chassis.
