Today, I got one guy going over the truck with a fine tooth come at Menards. Then at the liquer store, an older guy asked me what color combo that was. My friend also noticed a gentlemen doing laps around the truck at the dog park a few weeks ago. He just purchased a Mazda 9 crossover too parked next to mine and was miffed. The color combo seems to be quite appealing/attractive. The walk-arounds, I believe, are Ford guys knowing it's a significant new release with not many out there. At present, it's not my primary vehichle so, I don't even drive it that often. I am suprised at the attention it gets every time out. Not gloating, afterall, I didn't make the truck. Just sharing my experience. Furthurmore, I am extremely happy with it. Great power at low end RPM (1000-2000, like a car. 2000-3000 relative accelration to my 2003 Eclipse GTS. Exhaust has grunt at start-up and when you get into the accelerator. MPG - 14.8 HWY, 14.1 city. The "Truck drive" is awsome to me.

I did get, to my suprise, after reviewing the paperwork, a $2200 discount from the dealer, in addition to the $1500 factory rebate. I did not realize that I got a $2200 discount nor do I know what it was for. I am very curious why? I did not think that I got a great deal at first but, in retrospect, I got a $3700 discount off MSRP which equates to 0% financing for 5 years. I feel much better. I need to drive it more though. It's only going to be a significant new release for a short time. I like talking to to the Older Ford enthusiests who seem to be attracted to this truck.

Man that looks good. I passed by a screw fx4 in white the other day and it was beautiful. I love that color combo you have, just not to crazy about that 4x4 sticker. Oh and I love it when I get compliments on my truck, and like you said just getting to talk to other ford enthusiasts.

I believe you are being sarcastic my friend. But, this is a gasser and MSRP was $45,700. Less my two trade-ins, I financed $27,000. I can live with that.

barrett!!! Im glad ONE person agrees with me. Me and old man have this arguement damn near everyday. That its hands down they only down fall to me and honest I could not live with it on there. I know it sounds dumb but if there was away I couldnt take it off it'd be a deal breaker. It looks like one of the stupid cheap after market sticker the illegals put on thy're 2wd truck! other than that, SICK truck man I love it.

 

Ah, beautiful! The same color combo I am going to order, except in a crew cab. Still undecided on the diesel. I'm not interested in the $7800 adder when the new 6.2L seem to be great.

nice truck had a guy come in the other day with a new 11' w/ 26 miles getting some larger Mud terrains put on it.
