2011 Ford vs GM diesel emissions stuff

I've been reading up on diesels lately, hence all the stupid questions. I also think this diesel emissions stuff is weird, but interesting.

Does the new 6.7L diesel still use the same DPF regeneration method they used on the 6.4?

I was looking to see what GM does and it says their 2011 uses urine injection AND a 9th injector. How does that not fudge with the turbo?

"the Duramax regenerates its diesel particulate filter using a downstream injection of diesel fuel directly into the exhaust stream "

Got that from http://media.gm.com/content/media/us...o/0210_duramax

From what I can find, the 6.7 has urea and a DPF with regen, but I can't find out exactly how the regen is done.

On the Duramax, the 9th injector is downstream from the turbo.
