Recently snapped a thermo housing bolt that actually rotted out, including the threads. Never seen anything like it, just disintegrated. Bolt closest to the drivers side of 5.4. After intake teardown and some creative soaking, drilling, cleaning, HeliCoiling and JBWeld (master journeyman JBWelder here), i have converted my two thermo housing bolts into a permanent stud/nut combo. I'd like to rig a system of coolant level sensors to detect coolant if any happens to leak.. Anyone know if these sensors (obviously a part not made for the 5four) can be rigged on a standby mode (dry) and combined with an in-cab indicator, flash an "oh sh*t!!" malfunction light in me face?
