Upgrades?
I'm looking to make some upgrades to a 2000 F250 7.3L Turbo Diesel. I was thinking cold air intake, exhaust, tuner/programmer, turbo/transmition cooler, and probably a torque converter. Being that I don't have an endless supply of money I'll be doing it in stages. Any thoughts as to an order of how I should start this long project. I figure at least the intake and exhaust before the tuner/programmer right? Any thoughts would be great!!!

GAUGES, exhaust, intake, and tuner in that order. Seeing as how its a 2000, skip saving for a torque converter and save for a whole transmission. 150K is probably average life for one, but they do last much longer, and much shorter. Just depends on how it was used.

And how lucky you are... My neighbor has almost 250,000 on his trans, and he rags the crap out of it! It's weird how inconsistent they are.

That's just like our 7.3L. It ate a trans in less that 100,000 miles. And it hadn't done 1/100th of the towing that the others have done.
