Ok, this is starting to freak me out. When using Tow/Haul mode sometimes my truck really slams into 1 or second gear while slowing. It's like a jerk or a shudder, not really sure how to describe it...

I have seen a few other posts about this and I recall someone saying do not have the truck reflashed for that. Anyone else have this happen on occasion?

why not reflash it though? do you have the latest pcm version?

 

I don't know what version I am running, never asked when I bought it.

Guess I will call my local dealer to find out.

Mine downshifts hard enough on gravel to make the rear tires start to lock up.

 

Just talked with some folks. Each gear in the TS has a separate solenoid to shift up or down...if they are going out, they slam into the gear.

Still have to have Ford check this.

I bought my 06 new in November of last year and this has happed 2 times to me while in tow mode. I have also been wondering about it.
