superduty seatbelts

As you can see by signature, I own an F150. My cousin however has an '02 F350 superduty crew diesel that has over 100,000mi. He asked me to post this question in regard to his seatbelt on the driver side. Seems that it will not stay latched.
Does anyone else have this problem? What is the solution? Just spray it w/ silicone, break-free(which would be best?) Or replace the seatbelt?
Thanks a lot.
