What kind of MPG does you V10 get?
Would like to get some feedback from owners with the V10 engine. What are you getting for gas mileage. Like to know also if you have 2 or 4 wheel drive and standard cab or supercab. Most everyone is saying buy diesel but I will only need the awesome towing power when I go camping. The V10 sounds like the way to go.
Thanks

Current Overall Average is 14.9 MPG in 14,148 miles.
It's been a while since I've had a chance to read up and post on the site. Between the new baby at home, and work I've also been unable to get any trips on the truck to check out the effect of the Banks PowerPack and SuperChip on the miles per gallon.
Well, I've now had the chance and WOW! I can say the combination of the Banks PowerPack and SuperChip not only helped the performance and tone of the V-10, but I love the increased MPG's!
I took the most normal trips tanks before the changes (16 tanks) and averaged 16.15 MPG, than I took the same type of trip tanks from after the changes (4 tanks) and they averaged a whooping 17.49 MPG. That's an 8.3% increase!
I did have a tank at 19.4 MPG after the changes, but there were several miles of 55 MPH construction zone so I left it out of the calculations. I also left out a tank the I think I got ripped off at the pump on, as based on the leg of the trip, and the fuel gauge position I pumped in about a 1.5 gallons (~10%) too much. But even if you include it the after trip would only drop to 16.93.
Take a look at my MPG file and provide your comments if you would like.
Ford should make the Banks and Chip a part of the 2001's if they want to improve the fuel economy!
Thanks,
Will
