My cousin is trading in his 99,CC, 4x4, PSD this week. He had 35" BFG's on it. He has a buddy that works at a local tire dealership that deals with take-offs from dealers. Since my cousin didn't want to give up his 35" BFG's on the trade, he got some 2000 Lariet wheels with 265x75R16 Firestone Steeltex R4S whitewall tires from his buddy. I just happened to call(timeing is everything) and asked him if his buddy still worked at the tire shop because I would be needing tires in a few months. I have 44K on my Firestones A/T's and the tread was down to 3/32nds inch at the wear indicators. I wasn't really ready to buy tires. He came up with a plan. He'd sell me the Lariet wheels with tires for $200 as long as he could put my tires and wheels on his truck. I wasn't to sure if I wanted to do this or not. I don't really care for the 99 Lariet wheels and I thought they were the same. It turns out his were the 5 spoke polished aluminum wheels. Really nice! They were like new. the tires still had the little rubber **** on them. Boy did it change the way my truck looks! I went from the XLT, round hole aluminum wheels w/ blackwall tries to the nice & shinny 5 spokes. I hate to say it but it made his truck look like crap. Well anyway, I thought I'd share a good experience with ya.

V-10 man, i must agree with you on the 2000 lariat wheels they are NASTY LOOKING, i have a 2000 250 XLT and i like the aluminum wheels on mine, the Goodyear 305x70x16 ATS tires help out alot on the look. I think a set of 99' lariat wheels would look great on my truck also, if your buddy gets anymore deals like that let me KNOW !!!!!

Congrats on the good deal...I have 2000 XLT wheels that I would like to get rid of because I bought aftermarket wheels.

I think you are confused...V10 man stated he likes and now HAS the 2000 Lariat wheels, and disliked the aluminum XLT wheels.

Well, I really like the 2000 Lariet wheels, the 5 spoke style. I had the 99 XLT wheels, aluminum with the round holes. They were ok, better than the 99 Lariet wheels.
