97 expedition stalling issues

Hello Ladies and Gents,
I have a 97 Expedition with a 4.6, and with 187k miles on it .
After years of having the famous stalling Issue I have finally decided to do something about it. I said let me see if I can figure this out. I Noticed that when it did stall it was like when you turn the ignition off, I put it into neutral and the truck would turn back on and keep going with no problem like nothing happened.

the other night left me stranded for like 45 mins before it started up again. I started to check all the fuses, wires relays
all good. I decided let me start checking at the ignition switch and removed the ignition switch underneath the steering column. Noticed the switch has sliding connections that power different items also noticed in the switch that the sliding gear inside was dry/worn and black in color. Called my local autozone and picked up the part (LS615) $17.00 and replaced it.

it's been 3 days and the truck feels like it has more power and has not stalled yet🤞. (NORMALLY IT WOULD STALL 3 OR 4 TIMES A DAY.)

Everyone with the stalling issue (and I know there are alot of you guys) it worth taking a look at the ignition switch . It a easy and cheap fix .
