peeling back the protective cover on harness found the CAM WIRES covered with aluminum foil and a wire, i need to replace the CAM PLUG SPLICE NEW PLUG , IS THIS NORMAL

changing the CAM plug on 05 Exped, harness has Aluminum shield around wires ????
