got a 98 xlt 4x4 with stock 4.6 with 181,000 miles now. What all would be needed besides the engine to change to the 5.4? Like, could i use same transmission I have now and other stuff?

 

severla people have done this exact swap recently go to the engines room and take a look

you can pretty much doa plug and play with a 2 valve or navigator 32 valve 5.4.

you can run your current transmission but you'll want to change torque converters

also you'll need the 5.4 intake manifold, y pipe and a tune for your 4.6 ecm
