What's Under my Rearview Mirror?
 

Topic pretty much describes my question. I have a little unit under my rear view is it possibly for a stock alarm. I am asking because I did not get a alarm remote when I purchased this vehicle used. It's on a 98 Eddie Bauer Expo. Please let me know.

Also does that year come standard with a alarm system?

If I'm not mistaken, that's for the compass on the overhead display.

:o Not how to answer that one! :D It's not anything for an alarm system. They don't come with alarms. They have PATS, but not alarms but it has nothing to do with a rearview.

Could it be the switch to turn auto dim on and off? Little faint green (I think) light when it's on.
