Cool X Pipe Bad Boy Exhaust

I just had my Y pipe and single in dual out Magnaflow exhaust removed and installed a Bassani X pipe with two Magnapack Magnaflows. This is a true dual system and the sound is Awesome.

I will be doing a dyno next week and hope to get video and audio of the run. I don't think I have lost anything on the bottom end and it should breath pretty good up around my 5400 rpm shift point.

Thumbs up

Damn! That X-pipe makes me want to light up a cigarette; and I don't even smoke.

Hubba-hubba!

Is that a split rear system or more like a sweptside?

How much did it set you back?

How was the install, fit/hanger locations?

Is it stainless?

Sorry for all the questions but I been to the bassani website and did'nt see any examples of their products for F150s. Your exhaust looks totally slammin' Flats Man!

Cool

Sixpipes-I really like the sound. It is unlike any other F150 I have heard. I have to do something about that drive shaft next. It is butt ugly!
Hey Lepew-Go to the Basani web site and I think you will find the X pipe, I believe it is a little over $100. Then go to Magnaflow web and look for the polished stainless Magnapacks. It is all stainless and exits out the rear under the roll pan.

JMTruck, I will keep you posted about the cats. I was told that our cats are the same as the Lightning so if that is true, I can still build a lot of HP with these.

N1Mxer, I like the Magnaflow mufflers and they are hard to beat for HP. With the single in dual out Magnaflow that I just took off my truck, I was making 287.1 RWHP! That's a little over 350 HP at the fly wheel so Magnaflow gets my vote. I would definitely get a Y pipe with the system, especially on the 4.6L. Good Luck!

Cool

I just posted a video & Audio thread over on the Supercharger section. If you want to hear the X pipe and dual Magnapacks, that would be the place to go. please allow about 20 minutes to down load, then turn the volume up and enjoy.

Flats,

Is that the universal X pipe that Bassani is raving about on their front page but have no listing of?

Secondly, what part numbers are the Magnapacks? There are 4, 6 and 7 inchers.

Oh, yesh, how much was the install?

That is one of the best exhaust I have seen in a while. I will have to down load that sound clip even if it takes an hour on this slow azz modem.
I was thinking of a similar x-pipe setup but found it to be a little cost prohibited at this time. I'm gussing that the x-pipe was about 130 and if all the pipe is stainless as well I would say you easily hit the 500 mark on that. Am I right? Hate to make you price your stuff to everyone. But, come on share the info. I know lots of people, including myself are dying to copycat you.

Yes I think that the Bassani is the universal X pipe. It was ordered along with the Magnapacks from California. I am normally very free with what I pay for things on my truck but the shop I always work with really took care of me on this system and I don't want to publish their price. I can tell you that the three pieces installed were a lot less than $500. I will have to get you the model numbers on the X and Magnapacks. I am going back to the shop this morning.

I have the model numbers on my exhaust system. First of all, the X pipe is a Magnaflow X pipe model #10791 and the Magnapacks are # 14416. Sorry about the wrong info on the X pipe. I did not know that Magnaflow had an X pipe. I think you can find these parts on the Magnaflow web site along with prices.

You da man, Flats.

Thanks for the info.

If/when you have the time/inclination, would you mind posting an MP3 of the sound you get out of those bad dogs?
