Swapping muffler

I have a Magnaflow 3” in 3” out single exhaust muffler on my 2003 F150 5.4L. Can I swap the muffler with one for a 5.4L F250? I noticed the F250 muffler is 3” in/out. I’d like to keep the existing 3” tailpipe from Magnaflow. I’m I being ridiculous or should I just put a stock walker replacement system for my truck that’s 2.5”. I need the truck to be quiet nowadays.

You are going to have to take measurements to see if it will fit.

I'm guessing you bought a Magnaflow cat back kit? As glc said some measuring will be required.
If they have the same IN and Out locations I would suspect that your only modification would be to the pipe from the engine to the muffler. Either making it shorter or longer to fit.

Off sets and added/lessened pipe differences are your concern. Only way to find out is to see yourself. Any muffler can be universally fitted.

Darren is right. You might need to fab it up to fit it. But there is lots of room underneath.
