2009 catalytic converter removal

First off I'm new to the page so thanks for having me. I have a 2009 platinum with the 5.4l. I was wondering if these models had 2 or 4 cats and if it had four if it would hurt to delete the rear two. I plan on keeping the factory muffler was just wanting something different. :noob:

Your model has only 2 cats that are already a hi-flow type of cat. So no 2nd set to remove, and no need to get hi-flow cats.

These trucks are a PITA to put headers on, believe me. But there are some long tubes available if you can tackle the install, otherwise it's $1000 in labor on top of the header cost. It's not completely terrible and I'm no mechanic, and I did it, but it's definitely one of the more abor intensive header installs and access on the passenger side is quite limited.

Borla mufflers sound the best in my opinion. Don't care for Flowmasters on these trucks and I don't like Magnaflow's low RPM sound.
