Magnaflow System fits poorly

I bought a SI/SO magnaflow system for my 01' Flareside.

Sounds good and looks nice but the fit around my stock size 17" spare tire is terrible. I can't adjust it enough to keep it from resting on my spare tire.

I've bent hangers adjusted the pipe section etc. Think I will have to build a gaurd of some sort that will help push the spare tire over to the driver side as much as possible.

Any ideas?

Howdy feller Hoser.

Didje try tae partially low'r th' spahr, an' push it tae th' left some, while re-raisin' 'er nice an' tight? May be needin; a heppin' hand fer that'n.

I had me a Gibson caytbak (yeah, I know'd - phookin' dumb & stoopid back yonder - arfin' POS, it wuz) whut I cleared by doin' sichy. Ye only needs aboot a couple inches .. 'er cenni-meaters ...

Good luck!

Wow that was actually tough to even read... I think my eyes hurt now.

I moved the spare over once but I think it settles back to its 100% vertical position on the cable hoist. I was thinking about a piece of flat bar bent up as a bracket to keep it slid over to the side.

You think it was hard to read - hell, it was even harder to write :D

Mine did not resettle if wound tight enough. I recall there being somefriction-enhancing / isolating rubber pads on the supports - can't remember if I installed those myself, but it seemed to help, lol). But - I can see the need fer a brace if you are having this issue.

Good luck!

Dropped my spare and never re-installed it, good remedy to me.

Go to a muffler shop and have them rebend the tailpipe to clear.
