California Approved CAI's?
Does anyone know which CAI systems are smog legal in "restrictive" California? Thanks, Gerry.

Depends on the year of your truck. Some are and some aren't for a 2006 model year and I don't believe I've seen one that is for a 2007.
I contacted K&N regarding my truck and was told thay were unsure how long it was going to be until it was CARB certified. I was told that if I but it now and it becomes certified I can call them and they will send the sticker later. |
California's restrictions suck! Just move and do whatever you want to your truck.

Let me ask this then..
I live in Austin, Tx and in my engine compartment, nor on my stock air intake was there any sort of CARB sticker. I've never seen any such thing under the hood of any vehicle I've ever looked at. Do I need this sticker for the 3" AF1 intake I'm using when I take it for inspection next month? The county does require an emissions test (a probe in the tailpipe). Will my intake cause me to fail this? I don't produce visible smoke or anything. No problem to stick the stock intake back on, just wondering if the AF1 will pass an emissions test not being done in the People's Republic? :beers: |
