Best muffler and exhaust for my 79 f150 460
 

Just wondering what would be the best set up for my truck to give it the loud throaty sound it deservers. Any advice would be must aprreciated.

muffler- i'd say magnaflow, borla , dyno max- i'd true dual it in 2.5" with x pipe if it has stock heads and intake and carb, if it's benn worked -true 3" dual- my .02$-phil:thumbsup:

Dual dynomax bullets would make that thing unholy :rocker:

no mufflers will make it roar, same for glasspacks.

So when u mean i should put true duels with the x pipe waht do u mean. But yea man going with the x pipe should work great.

if it were mine i'd do the x pipe and have em comin out in front of the rear tires with 6" tips, but thats just me.

I had a Flowmaster 40 series (it was actually just a 2 chamber back when they only called them 2 or 3 chamber mufflers) on one of my older trucks with a 460 and it sounded really badass!! nice loud but low rumble but got pretty loud when I got on it!! it came out in front of the rear tire, with a turnout angled kinda down toward the ground
