Magnaflow exhaust? Yes or no?

I'm looking to purchase a Magnaflow cat back system for my 4.6l F150. Anyone have any thoughts? Good or bad?

I have the Magnaflow 14" oval not too loud , but you defiantly know its there. I would recommended this muffler over any other for our trucks.

I debated with this for awhile and took the plunge with the Maggie 16612. I got it from www.hottexhaust.com and they did a great job. I am waiting to get it installed right now, I'll let you know when I do.

If it's only the sound you want, then Flowmaster 40 series all the way.

I have the maggie cat back on my 04 4.6. It is an 18" and plenty loud. Sounds killer. No real performance noticed, if I had to do it again, I would just get the 18" muffler and have it installed with the stock piping. save you 300.00 too. Performance peddler on ebay sells cheap and great customer service.

I have a SIDO MagnaFlow on my truck (5.4 engine) and I absolutely love it! It's the perfect balance between a nasty growl under acceleration and a nice mellow note at highway speeds!

Highly recommended!

i also just installed an 18" magnaflow using stock pipes. the sound is exactly what i wanted for the 5.4. it rumbles when it should but is quiet at cruising speed.

I find the magnaflow to be raspy in comparison to the flowmaster

I am just the opposite IMHO on my F-150. Flowmaster is raspy and magnaflow is deeper toned.

I got a Magnaflow 14". It's a SI/DO, but I am going to reverse it to a DI/SO and cut the stock pipes after the cats and run 2 pipes to the muffler and use the stock tailpipe. I also got a 4"x18" tip.

I'm getting it installed tomorrow or thursday so I'll let you know how it goes.

Just Installed

I just installed a Maggie SIDO exhaust this weekend. I love it. No noticable performance gain, but the sound and looks are amazing. Deep loud growl at WOT but a nice mellow sound at cruizing speeds. Highly recommended.

For a 4.6L, I would go Borla for sure.
