truck's first mod...
 

my 03 supercrew is having an original 40 series flowmaster and 3inch catback put on as we speak. i'm having it dumped down after the axle. i'll let you know how it comes out when i get it back. 275$ at a shop by my work. i've read a few of you have found it cheaper but i'm impatient and tired of shopping around.

hey guys the truck came out great. it sounds like a truck now haha. i'm new to the boards, i just picked up this f-150 less then a week ago. selling my lifted Z71, as soon as it comes back from the shop with a new transmission that is..... :mad:

I've heard by switching the pipe from 2.5" to 3" from the cat that you may lose some torque. I am doing a similar set up with my 05. I am gonna have an 18" magnaflow dumped at the axle, but keeping the 2.5" pipe... good luck, keep us updated...

Excellent choice of exhausts. I have a custom dual 3 inch flowmaster 40 series on mine, and I haven't lost any power (of course, you have to consider the blower and everything else!)

I just had an orig 40 installed on 12/23 and I love it! It is starting to get "broke" in and sounds awesome! :rocker: Good choice and congrats on dumping the chevy :thumbsup:

I hope to have a 40 series put on my truck in the spring my last truck i was going to have it done I was quoted 300 for the job and well the trany went out on it shortly there after so I'm hoping to get it done on the new truck and since you got yours done for 275 I'll print this off and make the guy match it or else I'll keep mine stock.

My local muffler shop will sloppily fab up exhaust with full tailpipes and your choice of muffler for $275.

I have another local muffler shop that will do a decent job for $395, so it depends on the quality of the work.

The sound will be considerably louder if you run full tailpipes vs. dumping the exhaust, BTW
