FM40 Delta Flow vs regular

Has anyone used the Flow Master 40 Delta Flow mufflers? They say they are slightly quieter then the regular Flow Master 40's.

Im adding a FM40 to my 4.2 truck. Single in /Dual out. 2.5 in and 2.25 out.

Please tell me what you think. I want something pretty loud (louder then most other trucks https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif. But not crazy.

Thanks

I was at a muffler shop today asking him the same question. The Delta Flow technology reduces the resonance of the muffler inside the car while keeping the sound outside the same. I was told the only difference in the 2 mufflers is that the Delta Flow is quieter inside. I am getting a Delta installed on Friday so I will let you know.

I should have mine installed tomorrow (friday) aswell. I was told the same thing by the sales rep around here. As long as it sounds pretty much the same on the outside I will be happy. Since I have the V6 I will need it fairly loud.

I guess we can compare opinions when we both get them.

Do your self a favor. Before you install your FM's go to the web site of the best mufflers made. http://www.spintechmufflers.com

I've got the Delta Flow 40s on my truck with SI/DO and it is plenty loud for me but not overwhelming. At about 1800-1900 rpm it does drone a little in the cab but nothing your stereo won't fix https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif I'd go with the FM because they are cheaper than some other performance mufflers and I am very happy with mine.
