Let's just say I wanted an Excursion

What would be the average payment I could expect to pay for a basic Excursion, 4 x 2, 5.4L (Or diesel) with at the very least, leather seats, and the reverse-sensing system.

I'll bite. It would be $25, or $500 or $2500 a month but that's just a guess. :D

That's a question that can't be answered. A 2x4 5.4 Ex. could sell for $30k where one wiht a diesel may sell for $45k+. You may make a down payment, you may not. If you do it could be $100 or it could be $25k. You could finance for 90 days or 84 months. You could lease, you could do a walk away balloon, you could have great credit, you couldbe a bandit that couldn't buy a cup of coffee if someone gave you $.50......

That's just a start. The point is, you and your situation determine what your payments are going to be, or if you're going to have payments. :beers:

Well, that goes without saying FR- I guess I should be more specific.

I can probably finagle the dealership down to $30 - 35,000 for a 2004 Excursion 6.0 PSD since the 05's are on the lot already. I have X-plan so that should eliminate any negative equity I'll bring into the equation by trading my $44,000 2003 Expedition (That I got for $29,000, see: finagle).

I don't want my payments to exceed $650 a month. I have pretty good credit, OK- great credit. I'm just wondering if this number is in the ball park of what the current Excursion owners are paying. And secondly, does the Excursion have good resale value?

Have you looked at them? EB 4x4 PSD are going to run in the low $50's MSRP. X plan is going to be in the mid $40's. Last I loked the rebates were still managed down to something less than $2000.

Besides, how many 2004's have you seen on the lots? Many dealers don't even stock them anymore. The few that do tend not to keep more than 1-2 so inventory control is not a problem.

Unless something has drasticly changed in the new market, even with A Plan, you won't break $40k depending on equipment. About $10k off is about the best you'll do.

From there, do the math. $650 x 60/72 = $39000/$46800 for example.

ANd yes, it'll depreciate like a dag and real quick. :D We don't buy Excursions as an investment. :D

ON EDIT: Wait a minute Bighersh!! I just realized this isn't your thread yet you said "I should have been more specific". What's going on here ol' buddy??
