Tire Size / Excursion

What is the largest tire size that will fit on an Excursion without any modifications (stock rims)?

My Bro-in-law put 285 BFG's on a 4x4 without any problems. They filled it up just enough to look good. Any bigger and I think you'd need to lift it.

Assuming that everything is the same as on the SDs, I have heard that you can go 305s - anything bigger and you start to rub.

Perfect Fit?

The shoes on my X Box are LT285-75R16. They look like they are made to fit. The Goodyear RS is a sweet tire mounted black out and are fairly quiet. Get the warranty, free rotation every 5K.
