HOT CD's
I have a '02 F150 FX4 XLT 4x4 supercab.
My CD's are hot (to the touch) after playing them in the (in-dash, factory, single) cd player. Does anybody have this problem? |
Hot CD's
Thanks for the direction. I'm putting a call into my dealer today.

Hah, Raoul's probably got it under control. :)
I can't believe '02s still have this issue.. |
Yes it is a normal problem with the factory unit I just learned to play one CD then play the radio for a bit then put in another CD until I can find a aftermarket one I want.

I use my dash cup holder for my Skoal can and it gets pretty warm also.
|
the problem is under-dash temperatures.
If you're handy, you can probably wire up 2 or more computer fans to get some airflow up there. You can also tap into your HVAC vent to have some air blow on the back of the CD player. This is what happens when you want high power w/o a seperate amp (like they did back in '95) |
