Exclamation 2009 F150 wont start after battery was disconnected.

Have a F150 2009 in the shop. Came in with traction control light illuminated. After diagnosing a short to power the tech found broken wire. Repaired the wire, hooked up the battery and now the truck will not start, dash lights up but no starter action. Remote key less works but the remote start doesn't. If the remote start is used the horn beeps twice and the dash will light up, scrolls through messages and warning lights and then just keeps cycling without a start. Running lights stay on. Brake pedal was stepped on and the horn started sounding like the alarm was activated. Had to use the lock button to shut off. Any ideas or ex[experience with this system would be a great help.

How did the wire get broken?

Are you sure you don't have a rodent problem?

Can you test for voltage at the starter? Does the starter turn if you jump directly to it?
