Headlamps staying on 2006
My headlamps stay on (sometimes and drain the battery).
DRL(daytime running lights) , AutoLamp equipped 2006 SCREW
I had all components of the DRL(two relays and resistor) removed and drove around still the lights stayed on.
Even removed the HeadLamp Switch and the PhotoDiodes/Led module on the dash..no joy.
Then I found a thread on a bad "fusion" splice in the wiring harness and I fixed it after tearing the back seat out.
https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...ical-help.html
Appeared the fault was fixed and I drove around with all the stuff (BCM & wire harness) still exposed for a week just in case the fault reappeared.
Then I put the BCM (Body Control Module) back on its mounting post and reassembled the back seat and associated plastic.
All was well.
Then I put the DRL components back in.
Then I went for a spin at night time with Light Switch on Auto....
Then I parked her and turned off ignition....the dang lights wouldn't turn off..again
Any ideas?
Park Micro-switch in Steering Column?
Wires in the door conduit open?
BCM is hung up?
I have the schematic and I can see how 12Volts can be sensed from the BCM at the headlamps independent of the other parts of the circuit.
Much Obliged
