I have a 89 Ford Ranger 4x4 and sometimes when slowing down it dies but it starts right back up. I took it to a mechanic and he says its a ground wire, but the man I got it from says it the throttle other than that it drives great. Any help ? Thanks

 

I'd suspect the idle air controller, if it's fuel injected and has one. Dirty and sticking, or shot.
