Weird beeps, gear grinding noises.

Hey all, I recently bought a 1999 F150 XLT with the 5.4triton. (150,455.6miles) I'm having some issues with the electrical systems. At least that's what I think it is. When I'm driving the truck will intermittently start beeping 4 times then stops then starts again. It kinda sounds like the door ajar sensor might be going out but I'm not sure. The second thing, is from the drivers side top dash there's an almost grinding noise, like plastic gears grinding against each other. I heard it again thismorning when I stepped on my brake, ( truck has a brake assist module) and the noise stopped after I slapped the module a few times. And another thing😑 my 4x4 indicator like intermittently pops on and off without the 4x4 actually being engaged. I've taken it to my local Ford dealership and they wanna charge me out the *** to go through it. Any suggestions???
