Converting Manual Headlights to Auto (2013 F150 STX)
Hi there.
I just bought a 2013 F150 STX and the manual headlight switch is annoying (my old car had auto).
Does anyone have a pinout (wire colors, voltages) of the headlight switch handy?
Second,
Is it feasible to add an after market photo-sensor (or actually buy the OEM sunload sensor/pigtail) and have it tapped into the parking light/headlight wires at the switch so essentially 'off' becomes 'auto' like on many cars.
Cheers.

I've done it to older vehicles by installing factory parts. I don't think there are aftermarket systems or parts. Follow this link for wiring diagrams:

Wow this is great! Thanks!
So am I reading this diagram correctly in that the switch isn't giving power but grounding to complete the circuit for the park/headlamps to come on?

The 2009 + MY are not just change the wiring.
The 2013 MY has a steering column control module that operates the auto lamps ( as well as the park, fog and head lamps ).
The SCCM ( steering column control module ) communicates to the BCM ( Body Control Module ) over the module communications network to perform the function on the lamp in question ( park, fog or head ).
The change required would be ( in addition to the headlamp switch and wiring from the switch to the SCCM and sunload sensor ) would be in the operation of the SCCM and BCM.
You are correct, the switch is applying ground to the input of the SCCM to identify the lamp that the BCM should turn on ( or off when removing ground ).
