Want to install under lights for entry and exit
I'm tired of stepping in puddles before I get in my truck at night time. I'd like to install some LEDs under the truck so when I click the unlock button they turn on and when I open the doors they turn on. I believe the best route would be to tap into the dome light power.
Without ripping everything apart where can I tap into said power?
Any suggestions?

I would have expected puddle lights to be an option in 2010. Maybe not on an FX2, but on the higher-trim trucks with cab steps. Use the wiring diagrams at this link to find out how they were wired, and you'll probably find the unused connectors on your truck:

In the How to sub forum, there is a thread on adding lights to the interior lighting.
A member asked about the 2010 MY truck. down the thread.

OP, I've been thinking about doing the same thing. Just mounting some "Rock Lights" under the truck. I think they'd work better than (puddle) lights mounted in the mirrors since they could be pointed outwards instead of just down and you wouldn't have to tear the door and mirrors apart to do it.
