window won't roll up
 

2004 f150 lariat passenger window was half way down, went to roll it up, nothing happened, not even any sound. I could continue to roll it down, but not up, now it is all the way down. tried both driver and passenger control same result. All other windows work fine. Based on these symptoms, any suggestions??

If the motor does not run could be a broken wire or bad motor. If the motor makes a noise, regulator.

could be carbon'd switch contacts ?

There is a thread in the How to Forum on cleaning the contacts, might be worth the 30 min to give it a try.

My 2006 I have cleaned the factory switch 3 times, 4th time I replaced it. now I have new contacts that are not carbon'd up to swap in if it happens again.
