new remote doesn't work
 

This is actually for a 2010 Explorer. Has anyone bought an aftermarket key and remote? I bought a flip-key so that I could have something a little more modern than Ford's mid-90's key and fob, and can't get it to work. I was able to get the key cut and programmed, and it can start the car, but the remote part won't work.

I've tried the sequence of turning the key on and off 8 times until the door go through a lock cycle. I am than able to program both OEM remotes no problem. But no good on the flip key. They've actually sent me three different keys and none of them work. So now I'm thinking it's something with the car. Any ideas?
