TV Tuner wiring question
I am sure this is a stupid question, I have done a search and not really come up with a definite answer.
I am installing an after market digital tv tuner to my after market head unit. I am removing the factory sirius box. I need 12 volts to power the TV tuner. Could I just take the existing factory power supply from the sirius and cut the wires, maybe see a red and black wire and splice in and power the tuner from here instead of installing a fuse splitter or whatwever it is called, at the fuse panel.
thank you in advance.

I am actually going to attach the parking brake wire from the head unit to a ground, it will enable my dvd and I was thinking this could be on during movement...I won't be watching, but passengers could...The antenna on this unit is interior, correct? I imagined it like the boxes they gave people that didn't have cable when out TVs went all digital.
