flash to pass 2009

hi i have a 2009 f150 stx 4x4 can anyone tell me were to locate the flash to pass wire and color? wanting to hook my garage door remote inline. thanks in advance.

The Flash to pass wire color leaving the MFS is the Green w/ Brown stripe wire.

You should be able to locate this in the wiring from the steering wheel, behind the knee panel.

This signals a ground to the SJB ( Smart Junction Box ) to activate the FTP function, not power.

That is a bit easier, the MFS supplies power directly to the fuse for the high beams.



The wire color in the diagram above is gray w/ an orange stripe, which goes to fuse # 16. You can tap it right from the MFS or use an add-a-fuse in the high beam slot, which would be much easier, and provide a fuse for what you are adding. This is just for a low AMP draw trigger, like the opener or a relay coil, do not run a set of aux lamps off of this.
