Same problem different day. However I did not see anyone mention whether or not the door ajar light would sometimes go out and the dome light went out while driving (usually right after putting the trans. in drive or reverse. At which time the doors would also lock as they are suppose to. I replace both door switches. I did not see anything electrical in the 3rd door except for the speaker wires. Therefore I have pretty much eliminated the 3rd door. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

 

My wife has had the same problem with her '97 Tarus.

I think the driverside door sensor has been replaced 3-4 times. Anytime its hot out the thing goes off until the car cools down.

 

Is there a fuse that can be pulled out
that will just keep the lights from coming on ? That would be easier than sparying every couple of days.
