no back running lights or plate lights or fog lights

Everything else works...checked all the fuses...they are good. Turn signals work. Front running lights work. Checked them with a test light. Getting power only when the turn signal is on? But no power when i turn the lights on for the tail light to stay on? Any ideas? 2000 f150 4x4 extended cab 5.4

sounds like you have a broken wire in the park light circuit to the rear of the truck.

Would that also effect the plate lights? And the fog lamps? Wires all looked good from what i can see. It does have a towing package...and its kinda messed up. Would that have anything to do with it?

If the fog lamps do not work, has the fog lamp mod been done to the truck ?
http://www.svtlightnings.com/svt/how...s/foglamps.htm

What does its kinda messed up mean for the trailer tow adapter ?

no mod has ever been done with the fog lights. On the 7 pin trailor adapter there are some wires missing? Could this be realated to the headlight and fog lamp switch?

Did you check the 2 fuses for the fog lamps ?

Without the modification behind the switch, the parking lamps being out should not have an impact on the fog lamps.

How about a little more detail on the trailer tow adapter ? What wires are missing ?

i did a test light on al the fuses..all is good. There are just 2 wires that are out of the tow adapter. Do you think that could be a player in this problem?

Time to check for power at the bulb connectors, you could have burnt out bulbs.

i replaced al the bulbs in the tail ligts. When i put a test light on them...i only got power when they were in turn signal mode. Other than that no power. Which is leading me to think...the headlight switch? As for the 7 pin adaptor...to be honest i reallt dont know what wires are not connected. But i did re splice them. And it changed nothing. So i am kinda scratching my head over this. The fog light bulbs look fine. So thas why i am thinking...maybe the headlight switch?

ok...so i went back out and messed with it. Under the reat of the truck where the lighting is...i found a wire that was ungrounded. It was light green and yellow. So i grounded it. And nothing. So on the driverside...rear of the truck i pulled apart the tail light male and female plug. I could not get it apart. So when i did...it pulled some prongs out with it. It was very corrodid...and not i cant get it back together. So tomorrow i will get a new male and female ends...and hope that that works.
