another led problem thread..sorry

ok,i have a 2004 screw..installed 3rd brake light led..no problems..installed front blinker leds and got faster blinker{which i could live with} today i installed rear brakes, blinker and reverse leds... blinker made loud noise and just stays on so i got some load resisters from autozone to put on rear lights and it is still doing it....and i noticed my third brake light is half on all the time now{ when key is turned } i know there was a thread about a blinker box or something that went under steering colum but i cant find thread.. can someone please help me sorry so long..thanx

i would return the load resistor and put an LED flasher in place of your oem flasher. you wont get the hyperflash anymore. the flasher is a PITA to get to, so turn your signal on when ur in the truck so you can hear for it and see it.

It's called an electronic flasher, if he has no idea what that is then he's an idiot. Get the electronic flasher EP27, cost me about 15 bucks from auto zone. That will solve the fast blinker issues but not the third brake light staying on. I've heard of guys solving that problem by using a load resistor in the third brake light. Not sure of any other fixes tho.

Nope, not an idiot at all. Just finding out why some of us would rather use soldered connections. A crimped connection is actually ok though. SSCULLY posted a picture of the kind of crimper you need to use. It has to really push the wires together, hard enough to create a "cold weld".
