Alternator Question

I have an 2006 5.4 XLT i just got new pulleys and e-fans i was curious if my stock alternator will be ok with these two mods. I was told from a few guys that why werent sure might need a higher out put alternator and another few said i will be ok with the stock one. I bought everything from troyer perfromance. If i could get some opinions it would be a big help.
thanks

try it... if the lights dim with the fans on, you will need a bigger alternator...

depending on the fans amp load, i would probably upgrade the ALT if you have a nice stereo with amps. or other hi power items...

i believe your truck has a 130 amp or 200 amp alt, that is LOTS unless your running 6 100watt lights

Another alternator question

My aternator is putting out 15 volts. Could this shorten the life of a new battery?

15 volts is pretty high. Most people are reporting voltages in the 14-14.5 range. Your voltage regulator COULD be faulty, but I don't know that I'd get too worried about it yet. What's the voltage under load (lights on, AC, radio, and so on, ON)?

Thanks for your help, I thought I"ll use another meter. With a full draw, one meter shows 14.37 while the other (Fluke amp. volt combo) shows 15. I'll use a meter from work to get the rubber reading.
This all started after I bought a new battery from Auto Zone. After 8 months, the battery wouldn’t take a charge. I exchanged it and again in 6 month, the same thing.
I got a refund and bought one from Wally World. Now after 3 weeks it's not bringing the battery up to a full charge. What's going on. Could it be the voltage regulator? Do I have to replace the alternator?
