2004 please help...I don't get it
First,
I just want to say thanks for the other posts on the issues with the radio staying on after the door has been opened on the 2004 f-150, which is the problem I have. I did this fix already and still have the problem. When I found the violet wires and the splice I noticed I did not have a problem there like everyone else, it was spliced correctly and there was no corrosion. But I figured I should go ahead and do it since I was there. Now I'm back to square one... radio still stays on. I did however find a way to shut the radio off when the door is open, by pressing down on any of the power window buttons on the driver side door. If I keep it pressed down it will stay off, but when I let up it comes right back on. Anybody know what could cause this? Also, the violet wire that we all have been re-splicing....what is that for? Just wondering. I'm just lost at what this could be, maybe something with the power window switch? I was for sure after reading the other post that I would find the same thing and it would be a quick fix. The radio issue is the only thing I have, I don't have the issue with the dome lights, gauge lights and yes my power windows are working fine. Any help at finding the source of this problem would be a huge help Thanks  |
Does your dome lamp come on when you open the door ?
There is also another item to check for a broken wire in the door to A-pillar harness, have seen this a few times here. |
