Replacement battery for'05 X-cab Lariat
 

Anyone out there have any thoughts on brand,capacity,etc.I want to replace with something that has larger CCA than original,which is 3+ years old.Thanks

What brand is mostly personal opinion. The most important aspect is the number of CCAs. The higher the CCAs thebetter for those cold starts. Interstates are good, Optimas are good(but very pricey) Sears are not that good.

I agree that the brand doesnt matter much as most batteries are manufactured by Johnson controls, they supply almost all OEM batteries as well as Sears Diehard, Wallmart, and they make the Optima line of batteries.
Go for the most CCA's you can get and most importantly check the fill date if you go with a lead acid battery. The fill date should be punched out of the sticker on top of the battery, if the battery was filled more than 6 months ago keep looking.
