Rear lights work / don't work
 

I figured more people would see this here rather than the electrical section. Nonetheless mods, move if you so fit.

I got pulled over last night on the highway for no running tail lamps :help: I had no idea they were out and I need to know what's going on. The turn signals / flashers, brakes work, but not the actual "running" lights in back (i.e. you turn on your headlamps and the tails won't illuminate). Two weeks ago today I had a Viper remote start / keyless installed, but I can't believe that I've been running around that long without them, so I don't believe that has anything to do with it, but maybe :confused:

Any help would be appreciated - I'll double check fuses but I did a pretty thorough scan this morning on all associated with lighting. I need to know if I can tackle it, take it back to the install place, or go to a mechanic. Thanks :beers:

Electrical is tough, but if the alarm was installed 2 weeks ago I would think they had something to do with it. I cant tell you how many problems aftermarket alarms have given me over the years

First, check the fuses/relays in the engine compartment. If they dont work then, call or stop by. Check all wiring connections of your alarm. Also maybe check the power to the wires at the tailend.

I'll do you one better... I'll copy it to the electrical section so it'll be in both places. Good luck with the problem... I'd help you but, if you've read my electrical threads, you probably don't want any advice from me... HA!

Ended up being a bad connection between the cab and rear. There was a coupler that was loose causing everything but them to work. Just a quick "click" and all was good :o
