drivers side power window

need help if anyone can give it. I was driving down the road and rolled my drivers sie window up when i heard a noise. The next time I tried to get it down, no luck I hear the motor work but no action on the window. Tonight I got the panal off and tried to see what was wrong. I can see that there are cables that make it work but am not sure what to take off for fear of the window coming down. It seems like it is in the motor possibly where the problem lies. anyone else have this problem and know for sure what to replace and how? thanks Al

Kelly, thank you very much for the link , saved me a ton of time. Looks like the 04' windows are dropping like flies with all the recent posts.
